Kransekake

 An Easter treat:  Norwegian almond cake. The kransekake is baked in specially-shaped ring pans, and then the 18 layers are stacked into a tall, hollow cone.

  1. Learn something new every day- I thought these were mainly for syttende mai (Constitution Day). Now to figure out which bakeware I should use- I refuse to get the special pans because I can only find nonstick, and I scratch that stuff up so fast. I might use a few sizes of cast iron fry pans as a guide!

  2. I was always told they were for weddings, but got a set of pans for Christmas and have been looking for a festive excuse to try them out.
